All the rhythms
"Salsa es ritmo – rhythm! It started in Africa, con la conga, skin on wood..."
This is the start of Izzy Sanabria's iconic 'What is salsa' performance, in which he explains the evolution of salsa sounds across countries and continents.
As he introduces each instrument into the mix, you feel the richness of salsa's journey. It isn't just one thing from one place. It's an evolution of sounds and cultures coming together.
This was the inspiration for the all the rhythms collection.
Featuring an embroidered 'todos los ritmos' design on the front, this design also lists all of the key salsa instruments on the back: la conga, el bongó, la clave, el timbal, el güiro, las maracas, el bajo, el piano, los instrumentos de viento – exactly in the same order that Sanabria mentions them.
